‘i saw a light go on’ is a prototype-exhibition for the new contemporary research platform, Journal Praeternaturalogicity (PNL), which aims to scry trace-relations from the (not so) miraculous. 

The works in this show share a rickety instability, held together in the poetics of half-thoughts and glances. On a group level, they have been hastily assembled within a two week deadline. In revealing each artist’s recent material “thoughts-in-progress”, the exhibition draws underlying relations that are neither clear, nor unresolved, but left flickering. Cracks and fragmentation, darkness and decay, the image that repeats. A fleeting floatiness, flapping wings, blips, chirps, and shifty saccadic scans set an unsettled tone for the larger developing curatorial project.
